Desktop/wall mounted eye wash

A press-to-latch flow control provides continuous hands-free rinsing after activation. A stainless-steel braided high-pressure supply hose offers excellent corrosion resistance and helps reduce the risk of hose failure.

Water/cup holder

Injection-molded from high-quality virgin polypropylene for a dense, stable and resilient construction that resists aging and deformation. SAN’s proprietary removable PP strainer basket helps prevent debris from blocking drain lines and makes cleaning easier.

Drip rack

An innovative locking system secures each drying peg firmly to the backboard, helping prevent loosening and protecting laboratory glassware. Pegs are available in 120, 150 and 180 mm lengths to accommodate vessels of different sizes and shapes.

Cold-Formed Construction

Made from sanitary-grade 304 stainless steel. The inner pipe surface has a smooth mirror finish and is free of grease, helping provide excellent resistance to corrosion and rust.

Ergonomic Eyewash Bowl

The eyewash bowl is positioned at a comfortable working height. Its dual-outlet design follows ergonomic principles, while the height and angle of the eyewash nozzles are designed around facial proportions for more comfortable and convenient use.

Rapid Activation

Both the shower and eyewash ball valves can be activated within one second, providing immediate access to flushing water in an emergency and helping minimize delays in first-aid response.

Gentle Water Flow

The eyewash nozzles use a pressure-reducing design to produce a gentler flushing stream, helping prevent excessive water pressure from causing additional injury to the eyes.

Adjustable Stream Height

The integrated flow-control valve allows the eyewash stream height to be adjusted as required.

Under the product design, the emergency eye wash nozzle utilizes the principle of gentle pressure to make the sprayed water flow gentler, without causing damage to the eye membrane and internal nerves due to water flow.

Precautions

Location layout

Install the unit within a 10-second walking distance of the potential hazard. A direct distance of approximately 10–15 m is recommended. The access route from the hazard to the unit must be straight, clear and unobstructed so that the equipment can be reached immediately in an emergency.

Spray range

Keep the area within 410 mm of the center of the shower spray zone free from obstructions.

Utilities

Required dynamic water pressure: 0.2–0.4 MPa.

Rinse requirements

Eyewash/face-wash flow rate: ≥11.4 L/min. Safety-shower flow rate: ≥76 L/min. Both must be capable of continuous flushing for at least 15 minutes.

Wastewater treatment

Remove or drain wastewater promptly after use to prevent puddling or, in low temperatures, ice formation that could create a slip hazard.

Training requirements

Before the unit is placed into service, personnel must be trained in its correct operation.

Water quality temperature

Use clean water at ambient temperature or water that meets applicable sanitary requirements. The recommended flushing-water temperature is 16–38°C. Avoid excessively hot water, which may accelerate chemical reactions and increase the risk of injury.
